BHARAT DIAMOND BOURSE
Bharat Diamond Bourse (BDB) is the world's largest diamond bourse (exchange) located in the business district of Bandra Kurla Complex in Mumbai, India. BDB provides international diamond trading facility for all its members to import rough diamonds and export cut and polished diamonds.
90% of the Indian diamond export and 70% of imports are done through Customs House located inside BDB.
Over 2500 offices of small and large diamond traders and 325 cabins operate from its fully equipped 20-acre complex. It includes Customs Clearance Centre, Trading Hall, Safe Deposit Vaults, banks, ancillary services, restaurants and 24x7 security. Every day over 50,000 people visit the bourse for business.
The India Diamond Trading Centre (IDTC), the Special Notified Zone jointly setup by Bharat Diamond Bourse and Gem & Jewellery Export Promotion Council of India (GJEPC) provides world class viewing facility to facilitate trading of rough diamonds by leading global diamond mining companies. De Beers, Rio Tinto, Alrosa and Dominion Diamond conduct regular rough diamond viewings at IDTC with an encouraging response from diamantaires.
